Robert V. "Bob" Sicina

Robert V (Bob) Sicina, the son of sharecroppers, started work at the age of five, weeding onions in the black dirt region of the tiny town of Florida, NY.

As a first-generation college grad with an MBA in Finance, Bob went on to be Chief Financial Officer of Citibank's Credit Card Group, followed by President of American Express Bank Ltd, and then President of the Latin American & Caribbean Division of American Express Company.

He later worked to scale a half-dozen startups, looking for that life-changing economic event: an IPO (Initial Public Offering). Failing that, Bob pursued a career in academia as a professor of International Business Strategy at American University for over two decades.

Now semi-retired, it seems his work is never done as Bob is writing his memoirs and starting a consulting business on decision making based on his first book, "Learning from Failure: The Key to Successful Decision Making."
